Not only has it clinched the coveted title of “Best Airport in India and South Asia” for the seventh consecutive year (2019–2025), but it has also earned a prestigious spot in the top 10 airports globally in the 70+ million passenger category, ranked 8th worldwide.
Operated by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a GMR Airports-led consortium, Delhi Airport has been climbing the global rankings with remarkable consistency. From #36 in 2024 to #32 in 2025, the rise reflects years of innovation, customer-first strategy, and relentless improvement in passenger experience.
The awards were announced during a grand ceremony at the Passenger Terminal EXPO 2025 in Madrid, Spain, one of the most prestigious gatherings in the aviation industry.
The Skytrax World Airport Awards are based purely on passenger feedback, gathered from travelers representing over 100 nationalities across a seven-month global survey. It's not just a trophy, it's a testament to real traveler satisfaction, assessing airport facilities, staff service, ease of navigation, cleanliness, amenities and overall experience.
